What you enjoy most about working here?
I have been part of HBVC for 5 years, started as a Learning Coach and now working as a Tutor. What I enjoy most is to see the progress students make especially when they overcome challenges. Also, the support I have received has been invaluable in helping me grow in my career, allowing me to progress and advance in my role.
Any cool aspects of the job or our culture?
One of the coolest aspects of our job is the freedom to be creative in our teaching methods. Whether it's integrating new technology or trying out unique lesson plans, there's always room to experiment and improve. The culture here is also very inclusive and respectful, which makes it a great place to work.
A memorable moment or achievement you've had with us?
One of my most memorable moments was our trip to the beach in Brean, Weston-Super-Mare. For many of the students it was their very first time seeing the sea. Watching them light up with excitement as they played in the sand and explored the shoreline was incredibly special. It didn’t feel like work it felt like being part of a big family. What made it even more special was sharing that day with a valued friend and teammate whose presence brought a unique energy. It was a reminder of the lasting connections we build not only with the students but also within our team.
