2026 Residential
Day 1
Students have made an enthusiastic and successful start to their residential trip at Grenville House, with an action-packed first day setting a positive tone for the week ahead.
After arriving at the centre, the group quickly settled in and got to know their surroundings before heading out for their first activity—an orienteering challenge. This took them to the scenic Berry Head, where students worked together to navigate the area, building teamwork and confidence while enjoying the stunning coastal environment.
Staff reported that all students engaged brilliantly with the activities, showing great determination and positivity throughout the day. The evening saw everyone winding down after their efforts, with a restful night ensuring they were recharged for the next day.
This morning, the group is in high spirits and enjoying breakfast as they prepare for another exciting day. Today’s programme includes raft building, where teamwork and creativity will be key, followed by stand-up paddleboarding in the afternoon.
With such a strong start and plenty of exciting challenges ahead, the residential trip is already shaping up to be a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Day 2
Students enjoyed an unforgettable second day filled with teamwork, laughter, and plenty of water-based adventure.
The morning saw students taking part in raft building, where creativity and collaboration were put to the test. Working in groups, they designed and constructed their own rafts before taking to the water to see how well they would hold up. The activity proved to be a highlight of the day, with lots of splashes, laughter, and a great sense of achievement as rafts set sail.
In the afternoon, the group took on stand-up paddleboarding, with many students trying the activity for the very first time. Despite initial nerves, students showed impressive bravery and determination, quickly gaining confidence and enjoying their time on the water. Staff praised the group for their willingness to step outside their comfort zones and support one another throughout the experience.
After such an active and exciting day, students were happily tired but already looking forward to the adventures planned for day three.
With plenty of smiles and shared successes, day two has been another fantastic chapter in what is proving to be a memorable and rewarding residential trip.
